AZITE and ITSAZ are co-hosting a free webinar on High Friction Surface Treatment for Improving Highway Safety. 

High friction surface treatment (HFST) is an emerging surface application/technology that has been proven to reduce crashes and the related injuries and fatalities. It also helps motorists maintain better control in both dry and wet driving conditions. The Maricopa County Department of Transportation used HSIP (Highway Safety Improvement Program) funding at two locations in Maricopa County, and  project was successfully completed in December 2019. 

The webinar will be presented by Mazen Muradvich – MCDOT, Jeff King – FHWA and Captain Joseph Ritchie- DPS.

The webinar is scheduled for October 6, 2020 from 12 PM – 1 PM and is free for all attendees.
