The AZTech Operations Committee, with the support of the Maricopa County Department of Transportation, the Arizona Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Intelligent Transportation Society of Arizona, is conducting a series of review sessions for the second edition of the Signal Timing Manual. The Signal Timing Manual is an invaluable reference for anyone involved with the design, operation and maintenance of traffic signals and has been expanded significantly since the original 2008 version.
The first session is scheduled for Wednesday, July 19th, and will review Chapters 1-4, which cover the topics of Signal Timing Programs, Signal Timing Concepts and Signal Design. The instructor will be Douglas Gettman, ITS Technology Group Lead with Kimley-Horn & Associates, and one of the authors of the manual.
