Thank you to everyone who joined the combined ITS and ITE Service and Outreach Committees for the Feed My Starving Children event in December.  We had a healthy turn-out of 18 members and family to assist in the food packing process for meals destined for children in the Philippines.  In total, the efforts of our team and the other volunteers that day resulted in the preparation of 140 boxes for a total of 30,240 meals.  This is enough food to feed 82 children for an entire year!  What is truly amazing about this organization is that 90% of donations go directly to the packaging of food for children across the world. Saturday’s efforts reflected donations totaling $7,257.60.     Keep an eye out for more events as well – we want to continue to provide ample opportunities for ITS and ITE members to make positive impacts on communities near and far.
