SUMMARY
Under general supervision, incumbent performs development reviews of various complex developments and Capital Improvement projects that involve coordination among multiple departments or agencies; exhibit technical expertise in areas of responsibility; coordinates the work of professional and technical staff; assist in mentoring and training, and performing related work as assigned. Incumbents develop solutions, interpret policies and procedures, and have the authority to approve and stamp engineering plans.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university, and four (4) years of professional civil engineering experience, with a minimum of three (3) years design/review experience in land development projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a State of Arizona Professional Civil Engineer license (PE) or an equivalency through state reciprocity. Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification preferred.
